Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

I bought the Rimmel wake me up foundation a month or two again when I finished my Dior Forever foundation. I had read lots of very positive reviews of this foundation plus Kate Moss is the 'face' of it who I really do love.

But I must say I was very disappointed in this product. I just really don't like it. I personally found that it was to heavy and would sit on top of my skin intend of sinking in and belting with my complexion. I also found it tricky to blend and after a few hours would get a cakey dry effect. However this can be fixed by mixing it in with a moisturiser.

I do feel as though I am in the minority thinking this. I do have days when I really do like this foundation it does have an spf 15 and creates a healthy look.

Mac Lipstick So Chaud

I have been after an orange lipstick for quite a while. I tend to wear more pink or berry toned lipsticks. But my lovely friend Emma got me Macs So Chaud lipstick for my birthday. I love Mac lipstick I really do think they are one of the best brands for a good quality lipstick.

So Chaud is a bright matte orange colour with good lasting power too! It is more of a orange toned red which I love, as I have also always loved the idea of wearing red lipstick but it just doesn't look right on me. So this lipstick is the best of both worlds for me, and orangey red lipstick but not actually red or neon orange.

It is quite a summery colour but I love wearing this Mac lipstick with darker more winter outfits. Such as a grey jumper and black jeans to add a pop of colour to a simple outfit.

Collection- Blush And Highlighter Cream Duo

I was lucky enough to get sent the Collection cream duo after attending their PR event whilst interning for Reveal magazine. This product really caught my eye out of the whole range the colours are so pretty and the little pocket size is brilliant to carry round even in a small clutch bag.

I have the colour 'peaches and cream' the colour is very pretty and creates a natural sort of doll like look. The highlighter has a gorgeous pearly tone to it. The only problem I have with it is that it more of balmy texture rather then a cream. Which means you really have to rub it in rather then sink in to the skin. But I am loving this product at the moment and have been wearing it most days!

Autumn Wish List

I haven't done a wish list in ages, plus there are so many things I am lusting for at the moment so thought i'd do a little post on them. I am much more of an Autumn and Winter type of girl then Summer. I can't wait to wear big cosy knits and ankle boots drinking lots of hot coffee and hiding away from the rain in the cinema.

1.) I am desperate to get my hands on these trousers. I love printed trousers, the navy and purple water colour effect of pansies is just so gorgeous. These Warehouse trousers are £50 and have been seen on Millie Mackintosh and appeared in lots of magazines.

2.) You might be able to tell I like dark floral prints. But this River Island rose jumper for £35 is just so sweet.

3.) I have got a new found obsession with candles. They just make everything so cosy, I am looking forward to lighting some at my flat at university to make it more homely. I have never owned a Neom candle as they are pricey at £39.50 but they would add a nice bit of luxury to a room.

4.) This Autumn I will definitely be buying the YSL lip stain for £22.50. I love to wear red or berry coloured lipsticks and glosses in the fall weather.

5.) My favourite colour for Autumn is jewel toned purple and this Marc by Marc Jacobs bracelet is a dream. This is definitely an 'I wish" item as it retails for £125.

Lush- Mint Julips Lip Scrub

I bought the original lush lip scrub a few years ago and used it now and again, I then re discovered the pot but by that time it had gone all hard and unusable. Apparently you can add olive oil to soften it but then it would taste a bit icky. So I chose to buy a new one, and opted for the Mint Julips scrub that I got from the Lush store on Kings Road London for £5.25.

The Lush lip scrub is basically an exfoliater  for your lips. It is brilliant for people who suffer from dry cracked lips. I pat the mixture onto my lips then just smack and rub then together till its all gone. AS it contains caster sugar and is mint chocolate chip flavour it tastes amazing and the mint makes your breath smell all fresh and lovely. Lush lip scrubs are perfect to prep them for lipstick. After applying the  scrub I apply my Body Shop vitamin E lip balm and then a lipstick.

Lush also does different lip scrub flavours they do a Bubblegum flavour and a Sweetlips one. I now use   Mint Julips lip scrub as part of my daily routine so I will be repurchasing it for sure.

Current Foundation Routine

In the past month I have completely changed my foundation routine. I used to only wear a liquid foundation by clinique. But now after discovering BB creams I much prefer to use that.

I use Rimmels Wake Me Up concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes or if I just feel like I need any extra coverage that morning. I then use Maybelline's BB Cream on my tea zone area.

I then use my new favourite product the Laura Mercier mineral powder. I use my real techniques buffing brush to apply it. It stops the BB Cream making my skin look oily and gives a nice natural finish to the look. It is not cakey or drying at all!

I always apply blusher on my cheeks as I am a ghost without it! I like Benefit blushers and body shop also do nice pinky toned ones. I then apply Benefits hight beam above the blush for more definition and along the bridge of my nose.

I now feel like I can finally use BB Cream and get actual coverage and use it on a daily basis.

Dior Lip Serum De Rouge

I have had my Dior Lip Serum in 650 for quite a while. I chose a serum over a lipstick as its more nourishing. It really moisturises my lips and has a soft balmy texture. The packaging is slim and sleek and the lip balm texture makes it easy to apply without a mirror.

The colour 650 is meant to be a peachy colour but personally I think it is more of a coral medium pink. It is quite a warm colour that I think will be great for Autumn.

The main downside to the Dior Lip Serum is that it doesn't stay on very long at all. But I still love it!

Mac- Quartz Fusion Eyeshadow

I have read mixed reviews about Macs Quartz Fusion eye shadow, but I was just instantly drawn to its lovely pink rose gold marble effect. Plus, I bought it from the Make-up Company outlet at Bicester Village so was cheaper then it originally retailed for.

I love the Quartz Fusion colour I think it is so pretty, however it is very light and powdery when I applied it but easy to build up a nice colour. The glitter to it is also really lovely.
