illasmasqua liquid metal

I picked this up at their store on Carnaby Street in the sale for a think costing about £8.50. These liquid metal shades really stood out and have the most lovely wet creamy texture. I chose the colour Phenomena I love the highly pigmented striking silver. You can wear this product as a highlighter, on the lips or body. But I chose to wear it as an eyeshadow. However it doesn't stay put for that long, I have to use lots and lots of primer for it to stay on for a few hours.

Benefit- Girl Meets Pearl

When I first got this liquid highlighter for £24.50 I wasn't that sure on how to use it. I haven't used anything like it before so it took a week or two to get the gist of the product. I do adore the bottle it looks lovely on my dressing table with it's tall pink tinted shiny bottle. Plus it smells really lovely!

I think this product is great for a '5 minute face', when your in a rush you can just quickly apply it to add a healthy glow to your complexion. To apply you twist the bottom section of the bottle and it comes out of all these tiny little circles, if that makes sense? You can either apply it directly to your face, or use your finger to wipe up the liquid to apply to specific areas.

I personally use it as a base for my eyeshadow and on top of my blusher as a slight rosy tint to it, so compliments my blusher well.

I really like this product as I am a bit of fan of the dewy healthy look. I think I may prefer there high beam highlighter but the packaging and smell of girl meets pearl is a lot nicer then high beams.

Mary Quant Make-Up

I have always loved the 60s its my favourite decade by far especially the make-up an the hair. So when I popped into the Mary Quant store on Kings Road I fell in love with all the beautiful make-up products they had. Plus it all came in the cute monochrome flower packaging.

I was so tempted to buy lots of their eyeshadow pallets and blushers and even there skin products, but I didn't know much about them and didn't want to impulse buy too much. Especially when the items were around £12 or £16.

But I did pick up this cute eye pencil sharpener and an eye brow brush. They are around the £2.50 mark I think. I then bought this action lashings lengthening mascara. The brush is in a style I've never tried before but is perfect for doing my lower lashes. I love how slim the brush is, it really separates my lashes as well an lengthening them so it makes it look very natural. It widens my eyes and doesn't clump at all I am very pleased with the effect it has.

I also bought two pairs of knee high socks in the sale for £3.50, I just thought they were really sweet. I especially love the grey heart print and eye lashes detail and the other more monochrome flower style.

Also I have now finished my internship at Reveal, I may do a little post on how it all went? Plus they gave a large gift of beauty and hair goodies to say thanks and I can not to wait to try it all out and review them on here :)

Urban Decay Brow Box

I bought the Urban Decay brow box from a Debenhams beauty evening a few weeks ago for £17 which I actually think is a pretty good price for the brand. It comes in a cool purple and black patterned little box and contains; a mirror, two powder colour shades, mini tweezers, a mini angled brush and wax to keep the brows in place.

You can but it in tow different colour shades I opted for Brown Sugar which is the darkest shade and matches my brows perfectly! I love this product it is very easy to use and sculpts brows brilliantly. The wax I find a little hard to use it often is a bit clumpy and you can see it on my eye brows so I use Vaseline instead to keep them in the same place. But overall this is my favourite eye brow product!

Collection- Lasting Colour Gel Eyeliner

As some of you may know I am currently interning at Reveal Magazine. Interning may involve working for free but the experience and perks make it worth while. One of the perks is attending Pr events, I went to a Collection one (previously known as Collection 2000) to look at there new products and walked away with a generous goody bag. These gel liners were by the far the best stand out product in my opinion.

Retailing at £4.99 makes it a lot cheaper then other gel liners and it comes in a little glass pot with a brush. There are four colours to chose from; Black, Brown, Gold and Teal. They are very matt with no shimmer or glitter. It has a lovely creamy texture so it glides on easily.

Collection gel eyeliner promises long lasting, and it really is! Doesn't budge all day, it's like it's tattooed on! The colours are very intense and show up really well, the colour doesn't fade throughout the day. Since the liner is long lasting means it works on my water line and is still stays put and is vibrant.

The downside is there is only these four colours, they really should release more I would love one in Silver or Navy. Also the brush is quite small, but hey what do you expect for £4.99.

These are now my new favourite eye liners and I would recommend them without a doubt!

Benefit- Big Beautiful Eyes- An Eye Contour Kit

As some of you may know I won a big benefit beauty hamper a few weeks ago, now this is my favourite product out of all the ones a received (which is a lot!). This is just the most amazing perfect little compact for eyes. This kit has everything!

It does retail for £24.50 which is a lot but you do get a lot for your money. The compact includes Boi-ing concealer for to cover dark circles. A pink alabaster base eyeshadow, a coco shimmer eyeshadow and chocolate brown shadow for eye liner. It also comes with a mirror and a mini concealer brush, mini eyeshadow brush and a mini eye liner brush.

Plus it comes with a little nifty instruction leaflet to show you how to create big beautiful eye, how handy! Of course there is many different ways you can use it though, I often don't use the brown eyeshadow for liner but to create a nice brown smokey eye.

The kit is brilliant for everyday wear and is small so easy to carry around with you. I seem to be finding it hard to find a small eye kits, most eyeshadow pallets don't even fit in my make-up bag! So I am very happy with this product it really has everything you need.

Dirty Works- Bye Bye Dark Cirlces

This was very much an impulse buy but I am so pleased that I picked it up! It is from a brand called 'Dirty Works' which I don't really know much about it, the style of the brand reminded me very much of Soap and Glory which I love. Dirty Works is sold exclusively in supermarket Sainsburys. The brand also sells body scrubs and lotions again similar to Soap and Glory.....

I chose to get Dirty Works dark circles concealer for £4.99. It comes in a sweet square compact perfect to carry around in your bag. Inside each side of the cube contains a creamy concealer in two different shades one a pale beige and the other a has a slight pinky tone. This mean it will work for most skin tones and you can blend the two colours together to create the perfect match for your skin. I dab the concealer under my eyes for an instant cover up.

It also contains aloe vera and vitamin E so is soothing and moisturising on the skin. Even though its meant to be just for under eyes I also use it on blemishes and works nicely. But it does have a shiny finish to it.

Overall I am very impressed with Dirty Works Bye Bye Dark Circles, its easy to apply and works well. Not bad at all for a product that you only get from a supermarket!

(Also apologies that the product is a bit grubby in the photos, but that just shows how much i've used it!)
