All I Want For Christmas Is.......

Christmas shopping is a joy for some while others loathe it. For once I have been organised and I have finished all my Christmas shopping already. I normally tend to spend ages going back and forth from different shops, over thinking and analysing each item. Convincing myself that I will find something better or less expensive in the next shop I go too. But this year I decided to take a different approach and not over think each gift or try way too hard trying to find something different and quirky. I personally think presents should be indulgent, the sort of things that you wouldn't buy for yourself such as beauty sets and over priced bath sets and pretty yet pointless goodies.

For my Cousins I have bought them both a cute little coin purse from Accessorize and lace nail transfers. For my Mum I got a Chanel nail polish and it looks beautiful all wrapped up in tissue paper and in a Chanel bag. I find guys always the hardest to buy for. For my Brother who has a penchant for expensive designer things and Lives in Chelsea he now seems to spend quite a bit of time applying moisturiser and doing his hair. So I got him Clinique exfoliator, moisturiser and soap. It also had an offer that if you bought 3 items you get a free miniature travel set of the Clinique mens products. For my Dad who likes to think of himself as a bit of a foodie, I got a Cheese set from John Lewis which is a box containing cheeses, chutneys and crackers. My Boyfriend who is in a band and loves music more then anything I bought a Nirvana Never mind vinyl as well as a leather bracelet.

Christmas can be a very busy time of year. I have already had 2 Christmas dinners. One with my roommates where we all swapped secret santa gifts and had a lovely turkey dinner, and another one where I had a Christmas lunch at a pub with my boyfriend as he is going on holiday over Christmas with his family. However this does mean I got early presents, I got a gorgeous heart and diamond necklace along with sugar mice and champagne truffles. His family got me a lovely box of goodies including owl earrings from Accessorize and a Red Herring Jumper with sequinned birds and hearts along with a nail varnish set and Ted Baker shower treats. I just hope everyone loves their presents as much as I have loved mine.

A Little Bit of YSL

I always read how so many celebrities swear by Touché Éclat, so of course I jumped on the band wagon and started buying it too. The YSL radiant touch highlighting pen is expensive at £22 but after trying out all the cheaper versions by more high-street make-up brands they do not have as good coverage and run out really quickly compared to YSL. I was also tempted into buying it today as it was a limited edition velvet version. Which meant it came in a black box and had velvet stripes up the sides of the tube. It adds a lovely golden designer edge to my make-up routine in the mornings before Uni.

All That Glitters

I have been looking for the perfect little bag to use on nights out for ages, but at last I have found the bag for me. It is from Topshop and was £22 but I used my student discount so got it a bit cheaper. It's just the right size for my money, ID and make-up, it also has a long golden chain for my shoulder. The chain and clasps are nice and light as when searching for a bag I found that annoyingly most bags have large chunky chains and fasteners which means it already would be weighing me down before I've even put anything in the bag. Most of all I adore the glittery embellishment as it means it will add that extra little somthing to my black dress.

Pretty Polly Sparkle Tights

It seems like everyone is obsessed with patterned and quirky tights at the moment. I love my Henry Holland suspender tights but I wanted to try another style. Pretty Polly have exclusively designed a pair for River island for £15 with gem stones up the leg. There sparkly enough to stand out but there not too over the top to resemble a Strictly Come Dancing costume. They are definitley my new favourite pair of tights, I'm going to wear them with black high waisted shorts and a metallic top for Christmas nights out.

Velociraptor

I had an expensive few days in Cardiff, however, it was worth it. Whenever I see a band live, I just have to buy a t-shirt even though they have a tendency to be over priced and flimsy fabric. I got a Kasabian t-shirt in white with their album cover printed in a sketched style for £25. It is actually one of the nicer band shirts I have gotten and hopefully won't be too baggy for me so it can be more then just a lazing around top like many in the past.
