Once again uni work load has gotten the better of me and blogging has been seriously lacking. I made a New Years resolution that this time round I will throughly research and plan essays and projects and not leave them to last minute, but get cracking as soon as they are set. So far i'm doing alright. But that does mean that my social life has been swapped with staying in writing essays and articles whilst watching the Lost box set and stuffing with my face with snacks (currently loving ham, coleslaw and crackers.)
It was also valentines not that long ago and I just couldn't not mention it as my boyfriend bought me a Alexander McQueen coin purse with a little razor blade on the front of it. Along with pink lilies that were just gorgeous.
I am currently loving all the fashion magazines spring issues, the prettiest fashion season by far. Grazia magazine has really come up trumps with their bonus bumper issue. Glamours issue is also lovely and worth checking out.

Valentines Gift Inspirations
Valentines day is slowly approaching (if you cant already tell by how every pink and red product shops own are suddenly pushed right to the front of the store). I wont lie to you I am not a massive fan of over priced chocolates but I do have a soft spot for a cute heart motif or some flirty lace. If you want avoid red maybe try soft pinks and rose gold. If you really are not into the stereotypical valentines colours and want to have an edge try purples. So here are my top seven (sorry for the very random number) of romantic (ish) treats for Valentines. And if in doubt buy Chanel...
Topshop Bra £14.00
River Island Heart Sweets £4.00
Asos Gloves £18.00
Chanel Luminous Eye Shadow
Topshop Love Tube Skirt £22.00
Topshop Ring Part Of Set Of 4 £7.50

21st Birthday Celebrations
A while back it was my boyfriends birthday and to celebrate we all went for a meal at The Kings in Christchurch and stayed in the hotel for the night. The food and room were gorgeous, it really was a perfect day. For the meal I wore a navy dress from Boohoo.com with cut out shoulders and my Alexander McQueen scarf. Make-up was kept minimal with a slight smokey eye.

Beauty Wish List
With snow days and having to get back into a routine if doing university work I haven't had much time do any shopping. One of my new year resolutions was to buy quality instead of quantity. So I am currently trying to save up and buy things I truly want and not simply buy for the sake of shopping. Here is my current beauty wish list, the ten face mask and urban decay eye primer potions will hopefully be my need of month treat....
Ren Radiance Renewal Mash £30.00
Benefit Hervana Blusher £23.50
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer £14.50
Topshop Lipstick In Hazard £8.00

Outfit Inspiration
Slightly different post to usual but with my new addiction to pinterest I have been lusting after so many things. So I have decided to create a few little outfit inspiration posts of just things I like really. This first one is the right mixture of casual but with statement accessories to keep it smart and unique. I am desperate to get my hands on leather pants but I live in fear of pulling "a Ross from friends." and getting stuck in them. McQueen and Westwood and my two favourite designers so they just had to be included. I like outfits to have a slight clash to them but not in an outlandish way, so using shoes to clash against your outfit is a nice way to try out the trend. I think the pastel metallic sandals add a summery spirit to the look....

Chanel's Little Black Jacket
Quite a while back I went to the Saatchi Gallery to see The Little Black Jacket exhibition. I went in order to research for a uni photography project. Obviously you can never EVER go wrong with Chanel so thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the images. I loved the concept of showing the different ways you can interpret and wear a jacket which is also a nice fresh spin on the 'little black dress'. The many muses varied from actresses, models and singers however the makeup and styling made some of them almost recognisable showing a lot of creativity.
My favourite thing though has to be receiving a large free poster that me and my friend queued for (only for around 15 minutes) for men dressed in suit to inform us "here is a present from Karl".... "Er wow, Ok tell him I say Cheers!"...What a thoughtful guy, just another thing to add to the list of reasons why we love Lagerfeld.
We got to choose from 3 images, my chosen one is now framed and hanging up in my room ( see christmas post). Here are a few of my favourite photos including Alexa Chung, Elle Fanning and Leigh Lezark....

The Christmas Post
Firstly I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas full with lots of laughter and love. I spent the morning at my boyfriends house after a late night at the pub then went back to my family home to open presents and go for a walk in the forest followed by a massive dinner. I then watched the not so critically acclaimed film Johnny English Reborn whilst eating leftovers with potato salad.
I asked Santa Clause for a jewellery box and Urban Decays Naked Palette and Estee Lauders Intense Night Repair. I also got a poster that I received for free from Chanel's Little Black Jacket exhibition framed for me. Lucky for me he was feeling generous and also got me a gorgeous digital radio and lots of Lush and Soap and Glory goodies. My boyfriend bought me a build a bear, Ciate nail caviar set and a ted baker make up set amongst other cute little things from Urban Outfitters. I love receiving books for Christmas and this year got Cheryl Coles biography ( I come from a family of Geordies so its in the blood to love Cheryl and And and Dec) I also received a copy of Perks Of Being A Wallflower.
Here are a few snapshots of what Santa got me...
